May is Flamboyant time in Panama. Unlike most other trees that only bloom for a few days, these beautiful Flamboyants bloom towards the end of April and last into June.

Bandera de Panama

My gardener calls these flowers “banderas de Panama” or “Panama Flag”. They are normally all red or all yellow, but this one flower came out as a hybrid! The rest of the flowers from the same plant all came out yellow. Does this qualify as a miracle? icon smile Bandera de Panama
